This week was pretty great we did Trade-offs with our district. I went with Elder Paulino from the Philippines. He is great and has lots to learn.
While we were on trade-offs, we had service in the morning. There is this place where they do shows and they needed some help so we helped. While we were waiting, we saw a tree covered with ants. So as curious 20 year olds, we pealed off the bark to uncover more ants. The piece of bark that we pealed off had a spider on it. So as my curious companion flicks the spider around with the piece of bark, the spider climbed on the the bark he was holding and bit him, on the finger... So since like everything kills you in Australia, we called the mission doctor and he told us to go to the ER. So we go to the ER, and wait around for 30 minutes, then they finally come out and grab us. The doctor asks him a few questions and lets us go. So thankfully he's not dead and can continue to work. To our surprise the hospital charged us $500 AUS for a couple questions asked. It was pretty dumb, but hey how else are doctors supposed to get payed? So that took almost half our day and we went finding for the rest of the day.
When we were finding this week, we came across a garage sale, so we thought why don't we contact them and at the same time see what they have. There was a pretty cool portable sewing machine that I grabbed for 5 bucks, it's pretty handy.
Love Elder Westbrook
