week85

Hello Mates

Mark Sun's baptism was this Saturday. It was awesome. More people than usual showed up to the baptism. He was really nervous before the baptism as everyone is, but he really enjoyed the service. He bore a wonderful testimony of the Book of Mormon and Heavenly Father. That day was the day of his rebirth, but also the birth of his son who is in China with Marks wife. He is excited to bring his family over to Aussie Land.

We also set someone else on date named Nicco. She is from Taiwan and is here living with her daughter. Lyna, our investigator used to be Niccos tenant. They didn't get along very well so Lyna moved out. Lyna would always complain about how bad her landlord was. As we were moving Lyna out of Niccos house, Nicco approached us and wanted the discussions. We were a little sceptical but we went anyway. turns out she is a really good person and genuine about being baptized. She completely caught us off guard when she told us she wants to get baptized. Even though Lyna and Nicco don't get along, they are still our investigators and will be attending the same meetings so we just have to teach more about repentance and forgiveness I guess.

Xiao Lan, our eternigator is studying design at school and she designed a pattern and printed it on cloth and made us some matching ties. They are pretty sweet.

Week84

Hello everyone!

Mark Sun just finished his baptismal interview on Sunday and getting ready to be baptised on Saturday. He is awesome. When we taught him Word of Wisdom and Tithing, it was hard for him to take in. He said that he committed to be baptized already so he won't back out. He is willing to live the commandments.

We taught Gui Gui all four lessons this week and now were moving on to lesson 5. We didn't think we would have so much time. Her baptism is in two weeks so right now we are working on solidifying her. It's so great to see how this really is the Lord's work. Both Mark and Gui Gui have expressed how they have seen blessings come into their life after they have been meeting with the missionaries. This was nothing that we did. It was just the Lord working through us to help others, and I am indeed grateful for that.

We will be getting 3 new missionaries this week. We will have the biggest zone in the mission with 21 missionaries, though we will be losing 3 in the next 3 weeks. Our zone is the youngest in the mission as well, so there will be much training for the Goldens.

Week83

Hello!

We had a good week. We set our new investigator Lyna on date. She was a miracle. She met Mormon missionaries about 10 years ago, went to church, received a Book of Mormon, but never got baptized because she lost contact some how with the missionaries. Elder Lin found her in the city and referred her to us. Within those 10 years she had joined another Christian church. At General Conference we felt impressed to give her a Book of Mormon. She was quite surprised; she didn't know that she was actually meeting with the Mormon church. She felt like it was Heavenly Father giving her another chance to learn the message. It had been 10 years since she last saw a Book of Mormon and now she has one again. She is on her way to getting a testimony of the Book of Mormon. 4 of our investigators came to General conference. We were excited for that. That's 100 % of our investigators at church. 75% of which are on date. I'm grateful for the people that Heavenly Father has placed in our path to help them receive this message. Our other investigator Gui Gui is moving in with one of our members so we have instant fellowship there!

Week82

Hello everyone

Don't have much time this week.

Mark Sun is becoming more and more solid. He has been reading the Book of Mormon regularly, and praying and receiving answers to his prayers. At a family home evening he said he couldn't wait to bring his family over to enjoy this as a family. That made us super excited for him. His family will be moving to Australia in about 5 months. Hopefully we will be able to meet them.

We received a referral from the Elders in the city. She is from Taizhong in Taiwan. She lives really close to some of our relatives there. She has Christian beliefs and wants to come to church this Sunday so we showed her how to use the public transport to get to the chapel. She seems really spiritually in tune so we hope she can feel the spirit at church.

Week81

Hello All

Pretty good week this week. We had three baptisms this week in our zone. All the sisters baptized and none from the Elders... But that's ok.

It's transfers today, and turns out we will be in a quadpanionship. My current companion will be a travelling Zone Leader and my other companion Elder Toronto will be training a new missionary. And we will be having 6 missionaries in 1 flat with one shower. It will be fun!

Mark Sun came to a baptism this week and we solidified his date for the 21st of October. He is having a hard time with work. He works late nights and does hard labor work. His goal is to get his Permanent residency so his family can live here.

Xiao Lan decided that she doesn't want to get baptized, she feels the commandments are restrictive to her life. After many testimonies of members and missionaries, she still doesn't want to except the idea that the commandments actually give her more freedom.

We are still working with Gui Gui and helping her develop her faith. She is still held up with Sabbath day and tithing. She's only new to all this so we will take it slow with her.

Week 79

Hello Everyone!

It's been great this week. Gui Gui and Xiao Lan are progressing well. Gui Gui is having trouble with the commandments, especially Sabbath day and Tithing. She is quite a timid person and can get stressed easily, so we don't want to push her. She almost dropped her date on the 7th of October, but we testified that this will help her. She felt comforted afterwards which is great.

Xiao Lan also almost dropped her date. She doesn't feel like she believes in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We directed her to the Book of Mormon and committed her to start a serious study of it. She didn't know the purpose of the Book of Mormon until we described it as a Keystone.

Right now, we are just waiting on them and praying for the spirit to aid them in their conversion. Hope all of you can pray for them as well.

We have found a couple solid potentials that we will be meeting with soon. One of them has met with missionaries before and is willing to meet with us so we are excited for that.

Week 78

Hello

Pretty busy this week. Not much time to chat. Our investigators are progressing pretty well. They are reading the Book of Mormon everyday. So we will see what happens.
